Shipping policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at Scent In The City. The following terms and conditions constitute our Shipping Policy.



Domestic Shipping Policy

Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we experience a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional transit time for delivery. If there is a significant delay, we will notify you by email.

Shipment Confirmation & Tracking

You will receive a shipment confirmation email with tracking details once your order has been shipped. Tracking will typically activate within 24 hours.

Shipments to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO

We ship to valid street addresses, P.O. boxes, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses within the U.S. and U.S. territories.



International Shipping Policy

We currently ship internationally to select countries. Please note that perfumes, colognes, and other alcohol-based fragrances are classified as restricted hazardous materials (HAZMAT).
As such, they require special handling, customs documentation, and inspection, which can cause extended transit times or customs holds beyond our control.

Right to Refuse or Cancel International Orders

Scent In The City reserves the right to cancel or refuse any international order at our discretion if we believe the shipment may experience complications in transit, including but not limited to customs restrictions, carrier limitations, or destination-specific regulations.
In such cases, the customer will be promptly notified, and a full refund will be issued prior to shipment.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

All international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes, and/or customs fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. These charges are the responsibility of the customer. Scent In The City has no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount.

Customs Delays

International packages, particularly those containing fragrance products, may experience customs delays of 2–6 weeks due to inspection or clearance procedures.
Once an order has shipped, we cannot cancel or refund the order while it is in transit or under customs review. Refunds are only processed if:

  • The package is returned to us by customs or the carrier, or

  • The shipment is confirmed as lost by the carrier after investigation.

Refunds on International Shipping Fees

All international shipping fees are non-refundable once a shipment has been processed or dispatched, regardless of delays, customs holds, or return-to-sender events.
If an international order is returned to us due to customs refusal, failed delivery, or customer non-response, a refund will be issued for the product cost only, minus the original shipping fee.

Tracking

International tracking updates may pause for extended periods during customs processing. This does not indicate loss or non-delivery.



Damages

Scent In The City is not liable for products damaged or lost during shipping.
If you receive an order damaged in transit, please contact the carrier to file a claim and retain all packaging materials.
